Royal Raptor Pin

$20.00 (Sold out)

Our heraldic achievement depicts the ʻio, or Hawaiian hawk, a symbol of royalty in Hawaiian culture, with its wings raised high like that of a phoenix rising from its ashes, surmounted by the Hawaiian crown and supporting the coat of arms, unmodified from its original 1845 design. Beneath it on a ribbon bearing our name hangs an order representing in totality the five main royal orders originally granted by the Hawaiian Monarchy.

We've refined our full achievement (aka coat of arms) down to something suitable for an enamel pin that's an inch and a half tall, while managing to keep all the details nice and crisp. The combination of gold and black and the transparent enamels is really beautiful; the overall presentation has us in awe, but it's something that just doesn't translate well in a photo. We absolutely love this little guy. You'll understand when you see it.

Gold plated (yes, real gold) alloy pin with hard and transparent enamels.
Finished size about 1⅜ x 1⅝ in (35x40 mm).
